Today's Route [Lisbon to Santa Cruz]
After landing in Lisbon, we’ll drive toward the Sintra hills to explore the colorful fairytale beauty of the National Palace of Pena, then recharge with lunch at Tasco do Strauss before wandering the dreamy gardens and architecture of Monserrate. In the afternoon we’ll head up the coast for sweeping Atlantic views at Miradouro de São Sebastião in Ericeira. We’ll finish the day with a relaxed seaside dinner at Plaj Beach House before settling in for the night at the laid-back, oceanfront Cliff Surf House in Santa Cruz.
Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) [Lisbon]
Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is Lisbon’s main airport and the easiest gateway into the city and the rest of Portugal. It’s close to the center, so you can be on Lisbon’s streets or heading out on a road trip surprisingly fast. It’s a convenient starting point for adventures, like us, heading north to Sintra, the coast, and beyond. We'll arrive in Lisbon, go through customs, and pick up our rental car for the week
Farol do Cabo da Roca [Colares]
